Delices Alexandria Review

Image
Want to listen about an awesome breakfast experience? Here it is: I was travelling in Alexandria,Egypt and I knew of a very famous shop called Delices. It's a patisserie shop that opened in 1922 in El Raml (an area in Alexandria) and is owned and operated by a Greek family up till this day. When you enter through the Grand doors you find the cake, patisserie, chocolate, and ice cream area. They also offer Eastern cakes such as konafa and bassbousa. The display of the cakes was really elegant. The ice cream looks really tempting to the point that you want to try each and every flavor. Inside the shop you find the seating area and another door,on the right, that leads to La Veranda (a restaurant that offers Greek and French cuisine). The music that filled the atmosphere was pure Greek. The staff are really professional.  I ordered Spanish eggs, toast, and potatoes. Also, I ordered croissant with molten chocolate (It was basically extraordinary, the chocolate the melts inside...

The Greek Club Alexandria Review

Image
The Greek Club, also known as the Greek Club: White and Blue is a restaurant situated on the Mediterranean Sea in Alexandria. The restaurant has two seating options: indoors and outdoors. The outdoors are usually by reservation and are fully booked due to the amazing view right on the Mediterranean. Usually inside you'll find a place with sea view but its not as nice as the outside. The place is decorated with Greek style decor (blue napkins and white table cloths). It is very clean and well kept. The staff greeted me with a warm welcome and were very helpful. You can easily tell that the fish was fresh. I ordered fried and grilled fish. Toumaya, Baba Ghanoukh (both are Egyptian appetizers), and Greek salad. Also we ordered typical Greek food: Mousaka (Eggplant with meat usually minced and bachamel). The dessert was Creme Caramel, which was very tasty. I loved the display of the Greek  salad it looked really artistic. Also the display of the toumaya and baba ghanoukh looked a...

Fuego Grill and Sushi Bar Review

Image
I went on an afternoon lunch to this new and interesting place. It's a unique place to discover sushi in. Once you step inside, the place is massive and very clean. The decor is really modern and classy at the same time. The music that was playing there is really nice and with just the right volume (not too loud and not too low just right). The staff there were really polite and friendly. Also they got the food in a good amount of time. The food everyone's favorite part of the outing The food there is basically amazing I ordered Crispy Rolls (Sushi with a crispy texture served with Wasabi (for those who don't know wasabi is a plant that consists of cabbages, horseradish, and mustard) and cucumber for decoration. You can make the sushi roll tastier by adding Soy sauce. As for the main dish I ordered from the Grill menu: Fuego pasta (pasta served with chicken, cheese, and spices decorated on the sides of the plate. I ordered a meal consisting of meat with gravy sauce, ...

Gelato Mio Review

Image
Did you know there is a huge difference between ice cream and gelato? Gelato has less fat and less oxygen when it mixed in the process of freezing while ice cream is a lot of fat and cream churned into it. Ice cream is mixed faster than gelato. Gelato Mio started a few years ago, now one of the most favored ice cream shops in Cairo. What makes it really special is the unique flavors it offers. In the last Christmas season it offered: Ginger flavor (a combination of ginger and cinnamon) which was a hit. Another thing that makes this place unique is the variety of  cones, until now I don't know any ice cream shop in Egypt that does such a thing. The flavors are red velvet cone , the Chocolate one, and the regular  you can get at any ice cream shop. The big cone can take up to 3 flavors costing 27 EGP.  There are many flavors  you can find there such as raspberry macaroon, Lindt Chocolate flavor, watermelon, Panna Cotta (a combination of vanilla and caramel), and pea...

Chick Shack Review

Image
Situated in the bustling streets of Zamalek is Chick Shack.Once you step inside you are greeted by the seating host (who in my opinion is very friendly). There is a set of simply amazing staff that helps you from ordering the food you want to eat to the moment you obtain your food. The restaurant itself is very well maintained: all the equipment being used looks very well. The Staff are really friendly and very well trained. The food itself really stands out, meaning that from all the places I tried chicken in Chick Shack was different in a good way. The chicken was really juicy and soft inside out unlike other places I tried in which the crust of the chicken is really nice and once you dive into the chicken the of beauty of the taste is lost.I found this in my favorite meal which is the Half Chicken (half of a chicken served with 2 pieces of bread and sauce), you should try it when you go there. The chicken itself, while being cooked, looks healthy and fresh. The salads and appetiz...

Mince Burgers Review

Once you step inside you can smell the fresh smell of minced meat and french fries which makes you want to order and eat a burger. The restaurant is very clean: all tables are clean the floor, is clean, the bathroom, and the food itself. All the ingredients that are used are fresh and clean (No old vegtables are used). A great thing about Mince is that you can see the food while its being cooked. My favorite meal which I order every single time I go is the Mince Original (a combination if minced meat with onions, lettuce, ketchup, cheese, and pickles) This restaurant turned from a small restaurant to one of the largest burger chains in Egypt ( note: Mince Burgers is an Egyptian food company). It has opened in many popular areas in Cairo such as Cairo Festival City, Arkan Plaza, Heliopolis, and Zamalek. It's one of the very first Egyptian brands to compete with International brands such as Hardees and Mc Donald's. In Summary: I truely recommend everyone to go and try M...
